Building Warrant Applications

The Building Warrant Application process is dependant on the council’s current workload but typically takes between 4-6 weeks from submission to approval.

Once the Building Warrant Application has been approved, work may start on site.

When your project is finished you should apply to Building Control for a Completion Certificate.

Please note that in addition to our own fees, the following may also be required: –

  1. Structural Engineer to provide structural details and SER Certificate.                 Should you decide to use a prefabricated timber frame supplier, they will normally provide an SER Certificate as part of their service.
  2. Energy consultant to provide SAP Calculations for thermal & energy efficiency.
